Vote for Glenn Pirkle

Glenn Memorial Day The storm water fee has to be abolished,  we have to separate church and state. These fee’s are a way of taxing our churches, that is not right.
Since I began running for office,  the commissioners have enforced a rule about garbage service.  That fee will be on our tax bill with no choice of who we can use for this service or even if we need the service.  We are going to have to give the right of free enterprise back to the people.  This fee will also have to be abolished.

Is the next step to tell the people of Gwinnett County where they will buy groceries and gas?

Our Commissioners need to be held accountable for their actions.  Some purchases that have been made over the last term of my opponents, need to be brought to the attention of the people of Gwinnett.  A lot of wasteful spending has occurred.  Don’t waste our tax dollars then yell about the county funds being depleted.  These commissioners know where this money went.  Go and ask them why?  Ask the active commissioners why they are trying to build a reservoir that is dry and then  pump water  from Lake Lanier to fill it.  It doesn’t make sense to fill a hole from a water reservoir that is already overused.

I have been asked where I stand on illegal immigration.  The answer starts with each of us.  We hire illegals to get work done cheaper, then turn around and complain about the illegals.  Don’t hire anyone who hires illegals.  Start with this, then get on the case of our state and federal gov’t to strictly enforce the regulations that are already in place, next go to the landlords and property management people and enforce fines on the ones who rent or lease to illegals.

Transportation.
Now that is an issue.  This is another item that can be helped by the people.  It is amazing to me that in the Summer a lot of traffic problems are eliminated.  Our school system furnishes transportation to each community in the area.  You can go to work in the mornings or come home in the afternoon and see a line of cars behind the school bus, they are all going to the same place.  Hold parents accountable to get their children on these buses.  Fees should be placed on the car riders to encouage the use of buses.  Every day should cost these people.  Expense is added to our system by using more fuel for these auto’s,  more expense to the system for traffic control at the school,  more expense for workers to supervise the unloading of these cars, and I am sure there is much more.

It is not the responsibility of the gov’t to pay all the cost of cleaning up the mess we have all created.  It starts with the people.  If you want to make Gwinnett great and a place we want to live, then start at our own home or place of business.
